Does your company plan to organize trips anytime soon?
How's the board crossing from Tunísia?
How' s the acess to Ubari and Murzuq?
How's the fuel supply?(1)
Yes, we have started already this season, but currently we only organise tours along the coast, from border to border, and we will be including Nafousa Mountain in the coming weeks.
Desert destinations are currently out of reach, due to safety. We are hoping that desert sites may become availble before the end of the year.
We can also provide visas on arrival for overlanders crossing Libya from border to border, without the need for the "guide", unless specifically requested.
(2)
Tunisian border: currently the situation along the Tunisian border is unstable, resulting in the border being closed a number of times in the past few months alone. Currently no transit visas are issued for arrival from Tunisia, and tourist visas allow arrival only at Tripoli or Benghazi airports. We hope this government restriction will change very soon.
(3)
Egyptian border: the situation at Emsaad is okay and we have been receiving visitors, mostly motorists, from Egypt on a regular basis since April 2012. All our groups have entered successfully on our transit visa (valid for two weeks) and exited safely via the Tunisian border. The Tunisian border is okay for leaving the country, since no one can stop you from leaving.
All our visitors reported some excellent feedback about the way they were treated by Libyans, including providing them with free petrol wherever they went; and this brings us to your last question: yes, petrol is available, very cheap, and the country's production is now near full capacity.
(4)
Visa process: to start the visa process, please provide the following, preferably 10 days before arrival (or earlier if possible):
scans of your passport's bio page.
your profession.
estimated dates of arrival and departure.
We will then process the visa application for you and complete all the necessary steps required to issue you with Libyan visa on arrival (currently only for arrival at Tripoli Airport, Benghazi Airport, or the Egyptian Border). Please write to us in a few months time for the latest update regarding the Tunisian border, or just check our visa pages for the latest.
No need for application forms, no need for photos, and no need to visit the embassy.
Everything will be completed from here, and the process is guaranteed once the approval is secured in advance
Hola
Saludos
